UPDATE ON THE WEISMAN PARK CAPITAL CAMPAIGN (updated August 27, 2010)
GREAT NEWS!!!! The Weisman Park Advisory Council is pleased to announce we have completed our efforts for the capital campaign for the renovation of Weisman Park. Demolition began on Monday August 23.Construction will will take about 90 days to complete.(weather permitting).
Bids came in better than plan reducing the amount needed to complete the project. The final plan reflected our initial concept but has been updated and expanded to reflect community input and Council’s direction. Click on the following link to open the file. Color Drawing of Weisman Park Plan.
As you will see there is a color design on the ground, as this will be all soft surfaces. There are several wrought iron picnic tables, three donated commerative benches, and three lime stone seating areas. Weisman Park”s unique feature will be three water sprayers to accomodate all age groups to enjoy. There will be a large three arm bandit water sprayer , water worms sprayers, and a water wall for the tots.
